Previously, the absence of a dedicated Product Owner led to inconsistent collaboration between IT and Regional Business Relationship Mangers (BRMs) across APAC, LATAM and EMEA. This resulted in inconsistent prioritization, reactive delivery, and a lack of strategic alignment with business goals.
With the introduction of a centralized Product Owner role, the objective is to strengthen and establish a structured, scalable engagement model that enables proactive collaboration with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) across APAC, LATAM and EMEA in each country, ensures value-driven backlog management, and bridge further any gap between business needs and IT executions ultimately transforming the operation model from reactive support to strategic value delivery.
Objective and Value Delivered
1. Strategic Backlog Ownership Ensure the backlog reflects business priorities and delivers maximum value.
a. In our GEO/POD Model:
i. Collaborates with BRMs, Bas &IT Delivery team to align backlog with regional business goals.
ii. Continuously refines & prioritize key enhancement/requirements based on evolving needs and available data from BRM.
iii. Enables proactive planning over reactive ticket handling for enhancements.
b. Value Delivered:
i. Business: Faster realization for high impact features.
ii. IT: Clear, actionable, and prioritized work pipeline.
2. Business-IT Alignment Act as additional layer of facilitator between business needs and IT Dev Team.
a. In our GEO/POD Model:
i. Facilitates workshops and grooming sessions for key enhancements with both business and IT.
ii. Support existing IT tema in translating business goals into clear, testable user requirements.
iii. Ensures shared understanding and accountability
b. Value Delivered:
i. Business: Requirements are accurately captured and delivered.
ii. IT: Reduced rework and improved delivery confidence.
