About The role
responsible for supporting the development and management of Value Added Services (VAS) within the telecommunications sector
Core Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Roadmap:
Assisting in defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for VAS products. This involves understanding market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
Working with stakeholders (customers, sales/presales, engineering, etc.) to collect, analyze, and document detailed product requirements. This often involves creating user stories, use cases, and other documentation to clearly communicate the desired functionality and user experience.Product Development Support:
Supporting the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to launch and beyond. This includes working with engineering teams to ensure that products are developed according to specifications, managing the product backlog, and participating in sprint planning and review sessions.Product Launch and Go-to-Market:
Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new VAS products. This may involve creating marketing materials, organizing product demos, and training sales teams on new products.Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for VAS products and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. This includes monitoring user engagement, revenue generation, and customer satisfaction.Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
Conducting market research to understand customer needs and preferences, as well as analyzing competitor products and strategies.Customer Interaction and Feedback:
Engaging with customers to gather feedback on existing products and identify opportunities for new features or enhancements. This may involve conducting user interviews, surveys, or other forms of user research.Collaboration and Communication:
Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales/presales, and customer support, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications:
Telecom and VAS Knowledge:
3 to 5 years of experience
with a strong understanding of the telecommunications industry, including mobile technologies, VAS platforms, and market trends.Product Management Fundamentals:
Familiarity with product management methodologies, processes, and tools.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop creative solutions.Communication and Collaboration Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Technical Aptitude:
A basic understanding of technical concepts and the ability to work with engineering teams on product development.Business Acumen:
An understanding of business principles, including market analysis, competitive strategy, and financial performance.Experience with Agile Development:
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.Experience with Mobile Network Nodes, Systems, Signaling and Technology:
Experience with Telecom-specific nodes like PCRF, NWDAF, MME, HLR/HSS, OSS/BSS, 2G/3G/4G/5G, SS7/Diameter, etc. is mandatory.
Additional responsibilities:
- Developing product pricing and positioning strategies.
- Managing product budgets and resources.
- Representing the company at industry events and conferences.
- Customer Meetings both F2F or online
