Product Lead Engineer

As a Product Technical Lead at our company, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the product vision and its technical implementation. Your responsibilities will include leading discussions on product architecture, defining technical roadmaps, and guiding engineering teams to deliver high-performance and scalable solutions for our AI chatbot platform, BotPenguin. This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on development expertise, and strong leadership skills to align cross-functional teams towards the success of the product. You will collaborate closely with product managers, senior engineers, AI experts, and business stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring high software quality standards. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership position. Your technical skills should include expertise in scalable system design, MEAN/MERN Stack technologies, software architecture planning, low-level design, and the ability to implement scalable, high-performance solutions. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, AI/ML concepts, and version control tools like GitLab/GitHub is also essential. In addition, you should have strong analytical skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for mentoring junior developers. In this role, you will lead technical architecture design and roadmap planning for BotPenguin's core platform. You will collaborate with the Product Manager to align product vision with technical execution, work with engineering teams to translate product requirements into scalable solutions, design and develop core platform modules, and enforce technical best practices and coding guidelines. You will also evaluate and integrate AI models, agents, and automation tools, ensure application performance, security, and scalability, support technical issue resolution, drive technical discussions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the tech team.
