Job Description

As a Lead Maker at Masters Union Makerspace in Gurugram, Haryana, your role will involve managing the makerspace's operations, leading a team, and fostering a culture of hands-on innovation. Your deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and passion for cutting-edge fabrication and prototyping will be essential for this position. Key Responsibilities: - Lead daily operations of the makerspace to ensure safety, efficiency, and innovation. - Manage, mentor, and develop a diverse team of educators, assistants, and volunteers. - Establish standard operating procedures for lab usage, risk management, and compliance. - Supervise procurement and inventory management for optimal resource utilization. - Drive strategic planning for makerspace growth including new tools, facilities, and programs. - Operate and maintain advanced fabrication equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, electronics workstations, and robotic setups. - Provide guidance on complex prototyping projects in robotics, IoT, AI-enabled devices, PCB design, and mechanical systems. - Collaborate with industry experts on client projects and real-world problem-solving experiences. - Lead research and experimentation in new fabrication technologies like AR/VR prototyping and sustainable materials. - Design and deliver advanced training modules for students, startups, and professionals. - Mentor project execution from ideation to scaling, integrating maker space activities into academic curriculum and entrepreneurship programs. - Create pathways for students to transform prototypes into viable ventures or startups. - Foster a vibrant maker culture through hackathons, innovation challenges, and showcases. - Establish partnerships with industry and academia to introduce cutting-edge technologies and projects to the makerspace. - Represent the makerspace at national and international forums, conferences, and exhibitions. - Develop funding and sponsorship models to support large-scale projects and innovation challenges. Qualifications & Experience: - Minimum 5 years of experience in a makerspace, FabLab, or innovation lab. - Demonstrated team and lab management skills. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred). - Proficiency in 3D printing, CNC machining, Arduino, robotics, electronics, and PCB design. - Experience in lab setup, vendor management, and maintenance. - Fab Academy Diploma is preferred.,
