Product Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager at Matrimony.com, you will be responsible for leading the new and emerging product lines by collaborating with a cross-functional team. This team will include senior leaders, product managers, developers, quality analysts, and infrastructure specialists to establish a robust product engineering process. Your role will involve being hands-on and taking charge of the end-to-end product engineering requirements for multiple product lines. Your key responsibilities will include working with the strategy, product, and business teams to create a product roadmap and drive execution. You will serve as a thought leader and mentor on architecture, design, and technical aspects of the products. Identifying and deploying the right tools, frameworks, techniques, and processes to facilitate faster product engineering and effective problem-solving will be crucial. Additionally, you will be responsible for product development, testing, deployment, and maintenance within agreed time frames, as well as owning all non-functional requirements for the products. Desired skills for this role include experience in Product Development Companies (PDCs), proficiency in Agile software development and management methods, expertise in using off-the-shelf software components, and a focus on progress over perfection. You should be confident with Typescript, JavaScript-based front-end frameworks, service-oriented architecture, RESTful APIs, and observability tools. Moreover, having experience in shipping features for high-traffic web and mobile applications, working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and a passion for working collaboratively to solve customer problems are essential.
