Product Engineer

As a Product Engineer at Hailstone, you will play a crucial role in the mechanical design of various product components. Your main responsibilities will include: - Working closely with CAD Design Engineers and Product Specialists to understand project requirements, objectives, and design concepts. - Collaborating on the mechanical design of various product components using PLM Tool. - Creating detailed mechanical designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, which may involve 3D modeling, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOM) generation. - Participating in the development of prototypes to test and validate design concepts, which may require hands-on work in a lab or workshop. - Choosing appropriate materials for each component based on factors such as strength, durability, cost, and environmental considerations. - Performing mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure designs meet performance and safety criteria. - Collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure that designed components can be manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively. - Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all designs, including drawings, specifications, and design change records. - Addressing and resolving design-related issues or challenges and providing technical support to cross-functional teams. - Collaborating with the team to meet budgetary constraints and cost reduction goals without compromising product quality. - Assisting in project planning, monitoring progress, and meeting project timelines and milestones.
