Product Designer

As a Product Designer for Educational Toys at Inventant Education, a STEM-focused education company, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, prototyping, and refining educational toys and STEM/STEAM learning kits for children aged 3-14 years. Your role will involve blending fun, safety, learning value, and sustainability into each toy and product you design. You will work closely with a team of engineers, material experts, and vendors to bring your designs to life, ensuring they align with Inventant's academic books and curriculum themes. By incorporating child psychology, safety standards, and usability testing into the design process, you will create engaging play experiences that translate complex concepts into hands-on learning opportunities. In addition to designing innovative products, you will also be involved in choosing eco-friendly and durable materials suitable for the school environment and home-based learning. Your collaboration with curriculum designers, publishers, marketers, and supply chain teams will ensure that each toy meets learning goals, cost-efficiency, and production viability. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Toy Design, or a related field. A strong design portfolio showcasing educational toys or interactive children's products is essential, along with familiarity with educational frameworks such as CBSE, ICSE, and STEM/STEAM concepts. Knowledge of child safety standards and certification requirements, proficiency in CAD tools, and a passion for education and innovation are also desirable qualities.
