About the Role: As a Product Designer at Ethos, you will play a crucial role in shaping digital experiences tailored specifically for insurance agents. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that our tools are not only intuitive and engaging but also supportive of their day-to-day tasks. We are seeking an ideal candidate with a strong background in UX/UI design, prior experience working with agent-facing products, and the ability to create designs that enhance productivity and user satisfaction. Your duties and responsibilities will include: - Gamified Design Implementation: Develop and integrate gamification elements into insurance tools and agent platforms to boost engagement, productivity, and learning. - Prototyping & Interactive Design: Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes that showcase game-like elements in professional tools. - User-Centric Research: Conduct in-depth research with insurance agents to gain insights into their workflows, motivations, and challenges. Apply gaming principles to enhance usability and user engagement. - Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to brainstorm and incorporate game mechanics and design elements that enrich agent interactions. - Feedback Loop: Participate in design reviews and workshops, offering and receiving constructive feedback. Use feedback to refine designs and ensure they meet user needs and business objectives. - Visual Appeal: Ensure that all UI components and game elements align with the brand's visual guidelines while striking a balance between professional and engaging aesthetics. - Gamification Strategy: Assist in developing strategies to implement game-based elements like points, rewards, leaderboards, and progress tracking into agent-facing tools. - Documentation: Maintain comprehensive design documentation outlining game-based feature specifications and implementation guidelines. - Adaptation & Iteration: Iterate quickly on design solutions based on agent feedback and performance data to optimize usability and engagement. Qualifications and Skills: - Experience: You should possess at least 3 years of experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer, with specific experience in incorporating gaming or gamification elements into digital products. - Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating the use of game mechanics, visual storytelling, and user engagement strategies in digital tools, particularly in professional or business environments. - Technical Skills: * Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc. * Experience with prototyping tools like InVision, Adobe XD, or similar for interactive, game-like designs. * Familiarity with game development tools (Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus but not required. - Understanding of Gamification: Demonstrated knowledge of how game mechanics can be utilized to enhance user experiences and drive engagement in non-gaming applications. - Problem Solving & Creativity: Ability to think creatively to introduce new gamification strategies that appeal to insurance agents and address user pain points. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present gamified design concepts to stakeholders. - User Research Skills: Experience in conducting user research, testing, and analysis to inform and iterate on gamified designs. - Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and adapt designs based on project feedback and goals. - Adaptability: Comfortable working on multiple projects and responding to shifting priorities while maintaining a high standard of work. - Experience in designing for industries that leverage gamified learning or user engagement, such as education or corporate training. - Familiarity with motivational theories and psychological principles related to gaming and user engagement.
