Product Designer - Bags & Accessories

You will be joining DailyObjects, a design-led, Make in India lifestyle and tech-accessory brand known for combining aesthetic craftsmanship with everyday functionality. As a Bag Designer, your role will involve conceptualizing and developing innovative, functional, and visually striking bags that align with the DailyObjects design ethos. You will collaborate closely with production and merchandising teams to bring creative ideas to life as market-ready products. Key Responsibilities: - Conceptualize and design new bag collections in line with brand identity and market trends. - Develop sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes with detailed specifications for materials, trims, and construction. - Research and forecast fashion, lifestyle, and functional trends in bags and accessories. - Work closely with sourcing, sampling, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality execution. - Create mood boards, color stories, and material boards for seasonal collections. - Collaborate with the marketing and retail teams to align product storytelling with design intent. - Manage multiple design projects, ensuring timely delivery from concept to sample approval. - Stay updated with emerging D2C, lifestyle, and travel accessory trends to bring innovation into the product range. Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of experience in bag design, preferably with lifestyle or D2C brands. - Strong portfolio showcasing design process, material understanding, and finished product execution. - Education from a leading design institute such as NIFT, NID, Srishti, Symbiosis, MIT, IIT Guwahati, UID, or Pearl. - Experience with brands like Mokobara, Samsonite, VIP, Nasher Miles, or similar categories is a strong plus. - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or other design and rendering tools. - Strong sense of form, color, proportion, and utility. - Knowledge of bag construction techniques, pattern making, and material sourcing. - Excellent collaboration and communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally with design, product, and production teams.
