A career at our company is an ongoing journey of discovery: our 60,300 people are shaping how the world lives, works, and plays through next generation advancements in Healthcare, Life Science and Electronics For more than 350 years and across the world we have passionately pursued our curiosity to find novel and vibrant ways of enhancing the lives of others Job title: Senior Analyst/Specialist (Role 1)Role description: SDS Author is responsible for ensuring that the SDS is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as being accurate and up to date across the globe He/she must accurately interpret and convey the information contained in the SDS and ensure that all relevant information is included must be able to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and other external stakeholders He/she must also have a good understanding of the company s product line and the hazards associated with each product Analyst must be able to work independently and be able to work collaboratively with other members of the team He/she must be proactive in taking up decisions and making strategic moves Job requirements: Post graduate degree in Chemistry/Organic chemistry/Biotechnology Candidate should have 2 to 6 years experience in relevant life science Field (Preferably experience with GHS, CLP knowledge) Technical Skills / Competencies:Chemistry knowledge: (Basic proficiency expected)Knowledge in Chemistry subject, in-depth understanding of Functional group, structures etc Should judge the hazards based on structures and functional groupAbility to do similarity search and evaluate data from similar substance SAP user knowledge: (Limited proficiency expected)Navigation of different screens/transactionsAbility to create specification and search for proper data in SAP system Global Chemical Regulatory knowledge: Awareness about SDS and Hazards Knowledge about Chemical Regulations and know how to classifyeg, GHS, CLP etc Know about digital tools and advanced excel Key skills and abilities on process improvements, Kaizen ideasAbility to lead a projects Behavioral Competencies:Proficiency in Interpersonal skills, Problem solving, Planning execution, Customer orientation, Business acumen and Impactful communication along with decision making abilities
