Role Overview: Jagran New Media (JNM) is the digital wing of Jagran Prakashan Limited (JPL), India's leading media group, with interests in print, OOH, radio, and digital. JPL publishes Dainik Jagran, the world's largest-read Hindi daily, and owns Radio City. JNM creates online content across news, education, lifestyle, entertainment, health, and youth, reaching over 109 million users through its 9 digital platforms. The company creates and publishes online news and information content which informs, educates, and helps users make better life decisions. Key Responsibilities: - Video Production: Produce, shoot, and deliver daily news video content in English for various platforms. - Hindi Knowledge: Moderate level of Hindi Language is required. - Scriptwriting: Write clear, concise, and accurate scripts for video news stories, ensuring content resonates with the English-speaking audience. - Research & Content Development: Stay updated on breaking news, research stories, and develop relevant, impactful video news content in English. - Storyboarding & Planning: Collaborate with the editorial team to plan, storyboard, and execute video segments adhering to editorial guidelines and news standards. - Assign Ground Reporting for special occasions. - Good Industry Contacts for Expert Views on Issues. Qualification & Experience: - Journalism Background: Degree in Journalism, Media Studies, or related field. - Experience with Digital Media: Experience producing content for social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc. - Multimedia Skills: Knowledge of graphics, animation, and motion design for video enhancement. - Understanding of Broadcast Standards: Familiarity with broadcasting equipment, standards, and production workflows.
