Procurement Planning Specialist

Role Overview: As a Procurement Planning Specialist at Tata Electronics Pvt. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in translating planning inputs into actionable procurement plans for wafer fabrication. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the timely availability of materials, tools, and consumables, optimizing inventory levels, managing supplier capacity, and aligning procurement activities with long-term fab operations strategy. Key Responsibilities: - Translate wafer production plans into actionable procurement requirements for raw materials, silicon wafers, consumables, and indirect items. - Generate and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) schedules based on production forecasts and inventory policies. - Validate and monitor Bills of Materials (BoMs) and routings for accuracy in ERP systems. - Conduct short- and long-term supply-demand and capacity planning for critical procurement categories. - Collaborate with production and logistics teams to manage WIP visibility, cycle times, and inventory health. - Work closely with cross-functional teams including Production Planning, Strategic Sourcing, Logistics, and Quality to ensure end-to-end supply continuity. - Assist in root-cause analysis for material shortages or excess and implement corrective actions. - Identify and implement process improvements in procurement planning and materials flow using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. - Support procurement digitization and automation efforts through tools like dashboards, data models, and forecasting tools. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain or a related field. - Strong knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and capacity planning, especially for Front-End Fab operations. - Familiarity with semiconductor production constraints and fab-specific KPIs. - Ability to work in a high-growth, ambiguous environment with startup dynamics. - Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional and cross-regional teams. - Excellent analytical and visualization skills, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
