Job Description

As a Process & Manufacturing Chemist, you will play a crucial role in translating high-performance, lab-scale exosome formulations into robust, GMP-compliant manufacturing processes. Your main focus will be optimizing small-batch and pilot production of luxury skincare (such as face serums and masks) and haircare (including masks and serums), with a key emphasis on ensuring consistency, yield, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Develop pilot- and commercial-scale processes for creams, serums, gels, and masks infused with exosomes and advanced actives. - Define process parameters (temperature, speed, order of addition) to maintain exosome integrity and product texture. - Conduct scale-up trials, identify bottlenecks, implement in-line controls, and lead yield-improvement initiatives. - Troubleshoot deviations in viscosity, pH, particle size, or microbial results. - Draft and maintain GMP batch records, SOPs, and deviation reports. - Ensure compliance with ISO 22716, CDSCO, and other relevant cosmetic manufacturing regulations. - Coordinate with R&D chemists, Procurement, and QA for seamless tech-transfer, raw material sourcing, and quality control. - Train production operators on handling sensitive biomolecules, clean-room protocols, and equipment operation. - Generate process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and technical reports for audits and regulatory inspections. Required Qualifications: - B.Tech or M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or related field. - 3+ years of experience in cosmetic or sterile-process manufacturing, preferably with biologically active ingredients. Skills & Competencies: - Proficiency in process-scale emulsification, homogenization, CIP systems, and clean-room standards. - Experience in stability monitoring, root-cause analysis, and process documentation. - Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-team collaboration and external vendor management. In this role, you will need to have a solid educational background and relevant experience in the field to successfully carry out the responsibilities assigned. Your expertise in cosmetic manufacturing, sterile-process manufacturing, and familiarity with biologically active ingredients will be crucial for excelling in this position. Additionally, your skills in process optimization, quality control, and team coordination will be essential for ensuring the smooth functioning of manufacturing processes.
