Position Overview

We are looking for a visionary, experienced, and committed leader to join us as the Principal of the Wellcaza School of Health Sciences. This role demands academic insight, administrative capability, and a genuine passion for developing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The Principal will lead the academic and operational development of the institution while ensuring regulatory compliance, academic excellence, and a value-driven student culture.

Eligibility Criteria

(Candidates must meet at least one of the following conditions)

Primary Preference:

• TMC-registered MBBS graduate with minimum 10 years of clinical or academic experience.
• Recently retired or voluntarily retired officials from government service such as:
• Assistant Surgeon /Assistant Director of Health Services
• Retired government medical professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Secondary Preference:

• Full-time PhD holders in Healthcare or Allied Medical Sciences (e.g., Public Health, Hospital Administration, Epidemiology, Medical Microbiology).
• Minimum 5 years of teaching or academic leadership experience.
• Recently retired Readers/Associate Professors in health sciences are also welcome.

Other Considerations:

Candidates with a PhD in any health sciences-related field and at least 5 years of relevant academic experience may be considered in exceptional cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic and strategic leadership across all departments.
• Ensure curriculum delivery in line with university and regulatory standards.
• Oversee faculty recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Monitor academic calendars, assessments, and student evaluations.
• Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and research with Wellcaza Medicity.
• Promote and enforce ethical and professional standards in education.
• Create a student-centric and inclusive academic environment.
• Liaise with statutory bodies, accreditation councils, and professional institutions.
• Represent the institution in academic forums and public events.

• Willingness to collaborate with hospital departments and healthcare units.

Remuneration

• Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Special terms available for retired government officers, including honorary or part-time leadership engagement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
