Principal Software Engineer

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable backend architectures. Your responsibilities will include assisting in pre-sales activities, managing multiple projects and teams, providing regular updates to the founders, conducting research and development, and ensuring the overall technical excellence of our solutions. Your key focus will be on designing and developing scalable and maintainable backend architectures while adhering to best practices in coding, security, performance, and scalability. You will collaborate with the sales team to provide technical insights and solutions during pre-sales activities, create proposals, and contribute to technical documentation for potential projects. In terms of project management, you will lead and manage multiple backend projects to ensure timely delivery and quality. It will be essential to coordinate with cross-functional teams, conduct regular project reviews, and provide updates to the founders on the progress and outcomes. A significant aspect of your role will involve team management, where you will mentor and guide a team of backend developers. Creating a collaborative and innovative team environment, conducting performance reviews, and providing constructive feedback will be key to fostering a high-performing team. Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies will be crucial for your success in this role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of experience in backend development, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. Your proven experience in designing and implementing scalable backend architectures, managing and delivering multiple projects, and leading and mentoring a team of developers will be essential. In terms of technical skills, you must have expert-level proficiency in Python, a strong understanding of database design and management (SQL and NoSQL), experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and message queues, and the ability to design systems that can efficiently scale to meet growing user demands.,
