Principal Software Developer

You will be working as a Lead Software Engineer specializing in Kotlin and Java in full-time positions in Thiruvananthapuram, India. Your role will involve designing, developing, and guiding complex backend and microservices projects. As a lead, you will provide technical leadership to engineering teams, ensure code quality, and drive delivery across the full software development lifecycle. Your key responsibilities will include leading the design, development, and delivery of backend services and microservices using Kotlin and Java. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical standards, mentor and guide junior engineers, conduct regular code reviews, and provide technical direction. Additionally, you will interface with customers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and oversee project schedules to ensure timely completion of deliverables. It will be essential to maintain high code quality, proper documentation, and adherence to engineering processes while proactively identifying and resolving technical issues to minimize defects and maximize customer satisfaction. To excel in this role, you must possess 5-7 years of strong professional experience in Kotlin and Java backend development. You should have proven experience in leading software engineering teams or technical initiatives, expertise in designing scalable microservices and backend architectures, a solid understanding of the software development life cycle, coding standards, and Agile practices.
