Principal Firmware Dev Engineer

As a part of Micron Technology, you will play a crucial role in innovating memory and storage solutions to accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence. Your role will require 8-15 years of experience in Embedded Firmware with a specialization in Storage/SSD, which would be a significant advantage. You should possess strong firmware design and debug skills utilizing assembly and C programming languages. Additionally, knowledge of NAND flash, SSD flash translation layer, wear leveling, garbage collection, and mass storage interfaces like SATA, SAS, NVMe would be beneficial. You will be expected to have expertise in configuring and debugging issues related to ASICs in an SoC environment and embedded firmware development. A high level of skill in problem recreation, trapping, and optimizing performance-critical algorithms is essential. Proficiency in ARM development tools and IDEs such as Eclipse, along with the ability to estimate development effort, is required. Collaboration and effective communication within a team are key aspects of this role, along with the capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with digital hardware design and experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic/bus analyzers would be advantageous. The ideal candidate should hold a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field. Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and a goal-oriented mindset are preferred. You should be able to collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment.
