Principal Engineer-SSD Firmware Validation

As a Principle Engineer-SSD Firmware Validation at Micron Technology, you will be part of a world-leading team innovating memory and storage solutions to accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence. Your role will involve understanding and implementing White box and grey box test methods for Enterprise/Datacenter SSD Firmware, as well as debugging NVMe Protocol issues using Lecroy/JDSU analyzers. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive test plans covering access patterns, NVMe protocols, FW test hooks, and VS commands for various areas of FW, such as Front End, Back End, FTL, and Security. Additionally, integrating tests into an automated test environment and collaborating with test execution teams to drive validation plans/strategy will be a key aspect of your role. You should possess a strong knowledge of Linux operating system debugging, Coding in Python, and excellent oral and written communication skills combined with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration skills, and the capability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. Your expertise in planning, tracking, and multitasking will be crucial, along with a deep understanding of system storage and its relationship to various platform components like CPU, Memory, PCIe, drivers, OS, firmware, etc. Ideally, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 7-11 years of experience in SSD Firmware Validation.
