Principal Engineer - Java Full Stack

As a Java Full Stack Engineer at HARMAN Automotive, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and testing of automotive software components with a focus on embedded protocols and real-time performance. Your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure backend services using Java and Spring Boot. - Demonstrating deep knowledge of Core Java concepts including Collections, Concurrency, and Multi-threading. - Utilizing Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs for development. - Working with Microservices architecture and proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda. - Experience with version control tools like GIT, Gerrit, GitHub, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). - Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases. - Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and solve problems with minimal supervision. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. To be eligible for this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Good experience in Automotive software development. - Experience in performance optimization (KPIs) and Test Driven Development practices. - Familiarity with agile environments, DevOps culture, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. - Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). - Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and microservices. - Exposure to front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular) for full-stack collaboration.
