Principal Engineer - Backend

Role Overview: As a Principal Engineer with a strong Product background at Abhibus Services (India) Private Limited, you will have a critical role in designing, planning, developing, and deploying software applications. Your responsibilities will include coding, developing, designing, and architecting features related to existing applications. You are expected to own modules end-to-end and ensure high-quality work products. Working closely with Tech, Design, and Quality teams, you will build and launch products, maintaining highly scalable, distributed server software applications. Additionally, you will be involved in the entire app lifecycle, from design to release, and collaborate with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and release products. Your role will also entail responsibility for the performance and stability of all server functions, as well as staying updated on new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Design, plan, develop, and deploy software applications - Code, develop, design, and architect features for existing applications - Own modules end to end and ensure high-quality work products - Maintain highly scalable, distributed server software applications - Collaborate with developers and product managers in the app lifecycle - Ensure performance and stability of all server functions - Stay updated on new technologies for development efficiency Qualifications: - 5 - 8 years of relevant experience - Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering from IITs/Top RECs preferred - Expertise in Java/J2EE technology and design patterns - Proficiency in implementing algorithms and using advanced data structures - Experience with e-business/e-commerce applications and business environments - Strong knowledge of data structures, designing for performance, scalability, and availability - Knowledge in MongoDB and Web services - Experience with Instruments and Shark for memory leak detection and performance optimization - Good grasp of algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded programming - Additional skills in Python, NodeJS, Redis, ElasticSearch are a plus - Excellent people skills and ability to work in an informal startup environment - High energy level and commitment to drive oneself and the team towards goals,
