Principal Engineer - Architecture

As the primary Applications/Systems Platform Architect for all projects within the Claims Cost Solutions division, you collaborate with internal teams to ensure the platform's interoperability, scalability, privacy, and security. You lead the platform development and performance, playing a crucial role in the engineering team's success. - Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the engineering team, focusing on all aspects of the product. - Align vision for platform development, execute the strategy, and lead journey mapping activities. - Develop and review solution artifacts, ensuring adherence to architecture standards. - Perform risk analysis, define strategic direction, and drive adherence to security requirements. - Develop high-quality object-oriented code using internal and external frameworks. - Analyze datasets and collaborate with analysts to ingest data from various sources. - Develop tools and features for system customization without additional code. - Design relational data structures to support new development efforts. - Facilitate security assessments and conduct code reviews for junior team members. - Coach and develop team members" skills, conduct training sessions, and recommend process improvements. - Estimate effort levels, forecast completion targets, and provide technology expertise in various areas. - Define and manage KPIs to measure platform initiative success. - 10+ years of experience in development, design, architecture, or related IT disciplines. - Proficiency in Agile methodologies and requirements gathering. - Technical leadership experience in delivering quality IT solutions within budget and compliance. - Understanding of computer systems, service architecture, and database design. - Experience in application and service modernization, including cloud migration. - Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, .NET, C#, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Kubernetes, Linux, and open-source technologies. - Experience with technical offshore teams.
