Description
Support the life cycle (start of design through production and end of life) of Infineon s Enterprise Power Point of Load (POL) products in the India design Centre. The primary function is to Consolidate product requirements gathered from market inputs and derived from application trend analysis and take ownership for definition of next generation products. The position also involves working on POL products from concept through product development and to the customer design-in, working with Marketing/Sales teams in promotion of Infineon s POL chipsets at customers and supporting design-in activities at key customers. Lastly the position will include supporting key local India customers on EP s additional products of multiphase controllers and power stages. Job Description In your new role you will: Work with Server, Consumer, Communication, and Industrial customers and respective marketing teams to define and support the development of Point of Load devices products. In particular work with customers internal to Infineon and external to Infineon to create strong and clear definitions for product operation and product pin functionally. Work with internal development teams to define the POL architecture and control method (COT, Voltage Mode, Current Mode), and to verify application target requirements. Develop block level diagrams for architecture and feature requirement documents that clearly and deeper define the PoL operation, Pol functionality and PoL pin operation/impedances. Specify the MOSFET s, the POL control method, the external components (L s and C s) and packaging technology requirements for POL. Define creative new product concepts to solve customer technical problems and create SIMPLIS simulation models to validate concepts. Act as a trusted technical customer interface during new product developments for a successful design-in to design-win. Work with Field Applications Engineering (FAE) teams, System Architects and Applications Marketing in defining right-fit product requirements addressing customer requirements. Develop Go-2-market collaterals (such as datasheets, models, application notes, presentations, fighting guides) Provide advance technical training to regional FAEs on how to use Infineon components to enhance value of end-Customer s products. Benchmarking of competitor s products and generation of promotional material and collaterals (test reports, application notes, white papers) for product promotion. Travel of approximately 20% of the time locally in the Bangalore area to provide on-site customer technical support and travel 10% internationally. Bench testing to validate the feasibility Your Profile You are best equipped for this task if you have: 8-15 years of hands-on experience in high frequency, high current, high-density DC/DC designs. Comprehensive knowledge of basic power supply topologies [Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost] and control system design with lab skills to test and debug of switch mode power supplies Experience in selection of MOSFET s, Gate Drivers, Capacitors, Inductors and use of these components in POL design and applications. Able to collaborate with all functions in the organization from Marketing, FAE s and sales, to IC design and product development AE s to ensure successful product development. IC block level modelling experience with Simplis/PSpice Intimate knowledge of various regulator architectures.
