Principal Digital Engineer

As a Principal Digital Engineer, WLAN MAC at Synaptics, you will be responsible for defining WiFi MAC architecture, technically leading the team on design methodologies, optimizing designs for power and area targets, guiding the team through digital design, RTL implementation, and various checks for chip productization. You will collaborate with different teams, including Systems/SW team, DV team, and design/product evaluation team, to ensure successful product development. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define WiFi MAC architecture based on the Standard - Lead the team technically on design methodologies - Optimize designs to meet power and area targets - Guide the team through various design stages such as RTL implementation, verification, and coverage closure - Collaborate with other teams for performance analysis, IP enhancements, and test plans - Support post-silicon activities working with different teams **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, Communication, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field - 12+ years of experience in IP design - Proven experience in designing digital circuits for wireless products - Understanding of digital IC design flow - Familiarity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MAC architecture, and Security engine architecture - Experience with tapeout of new products - No travel required Synaptics believes in Diversity and provides an environment where you can work within a diverse team, mentor developing team members, and communicate effectively with colleagues.,
