Principal DevOps Engineer

As an experienced Azure DevOps & SRE Architect, you will be responsible for leading our DevOps team in implementing and managing our cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. You should have extensive experience in Azure cloud technologies and hands-on expertise in managing large-scale ecommerce projects. A deep understanding of key technologies like Kafka, in-memory databases, Aerospike, MongoDB Atlas, Kubernetes (K8s), and Akamai is essential for this role. Your primary responsibilities will include driving governance, overseeing release management, and ensuring compliance with security standards. You should be Azure certified and possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team. Being available to provide support during nights or weekends for critical issues is crucial. To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's Engineering Qualification, 10-12+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure management, and software development (with at least 5 years of experience in leading teams). Proven experience in working on large-scale ecommerce projects and a strong understanding of security principles in cloud environments are also required. Your proficiency in release management processes, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, will be vital. Experience in implementing disaster recovery, Linux, Python, infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor is highly desirable. Moreover, you should have experience in leading agile/scrum ceremonies, driving agile adoption within teams, and collaborating effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Your excellent communication and collaboration skills will be essential in this role.,
