As a Senior leader, you will leverage your extensive technical expertise on Microsoft stack to understand the current business process, improve and expand end-to-end architecture for a suite of applications in Genomics portfolio in collaboration with other Architects. These are sophisticated computer programs that will be used by our Academica and Industrial clients. The product you design, and deliver is strategic to the success of Genomics business line. This role reports to Lead Software Architect (IT Solutions) Primary Responsibilities: In this role as Principal DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for architecture, design, automating and building our next generation cloud CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure. You must be able to work in and adapt to a fluid, fast-paced environment. You must have strong communication, collaboration, and technical skills. Working closely with diverse stakeholders, you are responsible for Application Build pipelines and deployment of the product that exceeds expectations and drives innovation. You will be empowered to influence Team members in an agile environment and implement key technology and architecture decisions working in an Agile environment. We are looking for leaders who will uphold the high-performance culture at Eurofins and as a Principal Cloud Engineer, you will interface with Development Team members, Infrastructure teams to drive right technical solutions with good Engineering practices and delivery of prioritized items. Specific Assignments: Design scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure, networks, and security. Implement cloud security best practices and ensure compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Optimize cloud resources for cost and performance efficiency. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for Azure and on-prem environments. Use testing and security tools (NUnit, SonarQube, Burp Suite) and packaging tools in the CI/CD process for quality and security assurance. Use tools like Terraform, Bicep, and ARM to provision infrastructure. Automate tasks (deployments, monitoring, backups) with PowerShell and Python scripts. Integrate security into DevOps pipelines for secure application delivery. Automating certificate rotations and ensuring security compliance. Resolve cloud application issues quickly to minimize downtime. Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application deployment. Design and test disaster recovery plans for business continuity. Manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and scalability. Implement and monitor cloud performance solutions, resolving incidents as they arise. Administer cloud system health and permissions management. Provide training to junior engineers on cloud deployment and management. Skills required: CI/CD Pipeline Management Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Automation and Scripting Application Deployment Support Container Orchestration (Kubernetes) Cloud Infrastructure Design Cost and Performance Optimization Virtual Network Management Cloud Security and Compliance Disaster Recovery Planning Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Application/Software development with at least 1 end-end product development experience Working experience with Product development organizations of Pedigree Technical Skills: Cloud Infrastructure & Administration : Azure (preferred), AWS, etc. CI/CD Pipelines : Azure DevOps (preferred), Octopus Deploy, etc. Scripting : PowerShell, Bash, Shell scripting. Infrastructure as Code : Terraform (Cloud), Bicep, ARM, Azure Blueprint. Operating Systems : Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), Windows Servers. Configuration Management : Ansible, CMDB. Certificate Management: Certificate creation, rotation, and renewal management. Database Administration : Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, Elastic Search. Containerization : Docker, Kubernetes. Good to Have Skills: On-prem Infrastructure & Administration. Operational Procedures: Procurement, installation, monitoring, support. Software Development/Architecture.
