As the Principal of Apeejay Institute of Design, your role is crucial in leading and managing the overall institute and its staff members. You will work under the guidance of the Senior Management, aligning with Apeejay Stya Group's Ethos, Culture, Values, and Vision. Your responsibilities include: - Leading the institute to ensure objectives are met and excellence in academics is achieved through innovative teaching methodologies. - Evaluating existing courses, suggesting improvements, and developing new courses based on industry requirements. - Encouraging research within the institute and guiding research students/projects. - Monitoring regulatory guidelines, ensuring proper documentation, and leading regulatory audits when required. - Upholding culture through communication, positive approach, and maintaining strong ethical standards. - Actively participating in the admission process in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Prerequisite Knowledge: - Well-acquainted with Accreditation Agencies, Statutory Bodies, and regulatory norms. - Broad understanding of the design-related world and demonstrated leadership in articulating the needs of the institute. Skill Set: - Strong Academic, Leadership, and Administrative skills. - Excellent Communication Skills (verbal & written), Conflict Management, Strategic Thinking, and Time Management. - Commitment to shared governance, cultural diversity, and embracing collaborative global initiatives. Education Qualification: - Ph.D. holder with outstanding scholarly contributions in the concerned discipline. - Professional with commendable achievements in the relevant subject area with a Master's degree. Experience: - Eminent scholar with a doctoral degree actively engaged in research and ten years of teaching/research experience at the University/National level institutions. - Demonstrated research publications, exhibition/workshops, and significant contributions in the specialization field. - Participation in National/International Seminars/Conferences/Workshops and recipient of Awards/Fellowships. - Ability to explain the subject logically and teach theory effectively.
