Principal Architect, MeasureOne

As a Principal Architect at MeasureOne, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the system design governance and architectural scalability of the platform as it continues to grow. You will work closely with the CTO to enhance MeasureOne's architecture, focusing on the microservices ecosystem, data pipelines, and API framework. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-level product features, participating in architecture and system design discussions, writing clean and efficient code, troubleshooting and optimizing existing modules, and translating business needs into technical solutions. Additionally, you will take full ownership of deliverables from ideation to deployment in production. Key Responsibilities: - **Architectural Ownership:** Design, evolve, and document end-to-end system architectures across backend, frontend, and infrastructure layers. Establish standards for scalability, maintainability, and performance. - **Hands-On Contribution:** Write and review high-quality, production-ready code. Set technical direction through code, not just through documents. - **System Design Leadership:** Drive the evolution of the platform architecture across services, APIs, and data layers. Evaluate trade-offs between technologies, design patterns, and implementation strategies. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with engineering leads, product managers, and infrastructure teams to align technical strategy with business goals. Provide architectural mentorship to senior engineers. - **Performance, Resilience, and Observability:** Ensure systems are designed for testability, reliability, and traceability. Champion quality gates, CI/CD best practices, and continuous improvement in developer productivity. Required Tech Expertise: - **Languages & Frameworks:** Deep experience in Java, Node.js, GoLang, and knowledge of React or AngularJS. - **Architecture:** Strong understanding of object-oriented design, microservices, and scalable service patterns. - **Cloud & DevOps:** Exposure to AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation pipelines. - **Data Systems:** Grasp of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and familiarity with event-driven and asynchronous data architectures. - **Quality & Governance:** Grounding in testing frameworks, observability tools, and architectural patterns ensuring resilience and maintainability.
