As a lead technical software developer at MongoDB Professional Services, your role will involve working in a small Agile team to deliver solutions for customers looking to migrate their legacy relational database-based Java applications to a modern cloud-based architecture running on MongoDB. You will be leveraging the latest GenAI tools and approaches to accelerate this migration process. Your responsibilities will include: - Staying updated on the latest GenAI advancements to fulfill migration projects - Innovating new development processes, technologies, and project approaches - Leading software development on Agile teams for migrating and modernizing legacy applications to MongoDB - Expanding migration playbooks, driving innovation, and providing technical direction to the team - Collaborating with the project manager to drive projects to successful conclusions - Studying legacy applications, defining target states, and planning technical solutions - Being adaptable to changing project priorities and leading technical personnel on the customer side Qualifications required for this role include: - 10+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years as a technical lead - Proficiency in Java and some knowledge of Python or JavaScript/Node.js - Experience in building applications interacting with relational databases using SQL - Familiarity with Enterprise Java application architectures - Experience in delivering modern applications using Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control - Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and external stakeholders - Strategic thinking abilities to align technical work with business goals - Willingness to travel and work on customer sites for extended periods Nice-to-have skills: - Knowledge of microservices architectures and Domain-Driven Design - Familiarity with ORMs like Hibernate or JPA Additional details about MongoDB: - MongoDB's mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries using software and data - MongoDB Atlas is a globally distributed, multi-cloud database available in over 115 regions - MongoDB Professional Services work with customers of all sizes and verticals on various use cases If you are based in Gurugram and looking to work in a hybrid model, this role at MongoDB may be a perfect fit for you.
