Job Summary The Senior Manager - MIS & Costing is a critical role responsible for leading the company's Management Information Systems (MIS) and costing functions. This position plays a key role in providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making, cost control, and operational efficiency across our operations in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the manufacturing industry, preferably within the FMCG food sector, with extensive experience in cost accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and MIS development. Responsibilities · Management Information Systems (MIS): o Manage and optimize the company's financial information systems across operations in India. o Develop and generate regular MIS reports, including consolidated financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management dashboards. o Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data from all locations within India. o Identify and implement improvements to MIS processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. o Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure that MIS systems meet the needs of the business. o Troubleshoot and resolve complex MIS-related issues. o Evaluate and recommend new MIS technologies and solutions for implementation across India. o Maintain documentation of MIS processes and procedures. · Budget Coordination: o Coordinate the consolidation of regional and departmental budgets into a company-wide budget for India. o Monitor budget performance against actual results, analyze variances, and provide explanations to senior management. o Develop and implement budget control procedures. o Provide training and support to budget holders across different states. o Facilitate the forecasting process, including regular updates and revisions. · Cost Review (Product-Wise & Plant-Wise): o Conduct detailed cost reviews, analyzing product costs and plant-level operating costs across multiple manufacturing facilities in India. o Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in both product costing and plant operations across India. o Prepare reports on cost trends, variances, and opportunities for optimization. o Work with production and operations teams to implement cost-saving initiatives. o Develop and monitor key cost metrics. o Perform cost-benefit analyses of proposed projects and investments. · Audit Support (Internal & External): o Support internal and external audits, including audits of operations in various states, by providing necessary documentation and explanations. o Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies across all entities in India. o Assist in the development and implementation of audit recommendations. o Coordinate with auditors to facilitate the audit process. o Address audit findings and implement corrective actions across operations in India. o Support the development of business cases for new investments and projects. o Monitor and analyze key financial performance indicators (KPIs). · Cost Center-Wise Reports: o Develop and generate cost center-wise reports to provide detailed information on expenses and performance by department or cost center across locations in India. o Analyze cost center performance and identify areas for improvement in different states. o Work with cost center managers to develop and monitor budgets. o Provide support and guidance to cost center managers on financial matters. · Other Responsibilities · Perform monthly run of overhead absorption, WIP computation, and price settlement for process orders. · Prepare Fixed Overhead (FOH) statements, cost center-wise summaries, and Corporate FOH reports. · Prepare and maintain control sheets for monthly and quarterly reporting. · Coordinate automation and generation of reports (margins, process cost, inventory) with internal stakeholders. · Compile and update data on capacity utilization · Assist in preparing business / project feasibility Report and compute ROI Qualifications · Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ICWA) is highly preferred. · Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, MIS management, and budget coordination in a manufacturing environment. · Strongly preferred: Experience in the FMCG food industry. · Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
