Pre-Primary Teacher

Read and gain a thorough understanding of the curriculum Plan and implement educational activities and curriculum in accordance with the program’s curriculum for young children aged 3-5 years old. This includes lessons in basic skills like numbers, letters, colors, shapes, etc. as well as other subjects like art, music, science, etc. Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning through play. Set up learning centers, educational toys and activities using teaching aids or create teaching aids such as charts, displays, etc Supervise and ensure the safety, well-being and development of young children. This includes tasks like assisting with meals, toileting, outdoor play, etc. Assess children's progress and development through observations and simple tests. Keep records of each child's achievements and areas needing improvement. Develop a positive relationship with each child. Review the progress of each child with colleagues. Periodically interact and communicate with parents about their child's progress, behavior, activities and other issues. Address any concerns from parents. Manage classroom routines like attendance, meal/snack times, outdoor play, rest time, clean-up, etc. Teach social and behavioral skills through activities, stories and role modeling. This includes sharing, taking turns, following rules, etc. Develop written plans to promote each child’s growth, aid in building a sense of self discipline and self-esteem in the child Coordinate and work with the Center Head/Vice-Principal/Academic Coordinator and other Mentors on school related matters such as celebrations, Events and Field Trips, Annual Day, Sports day etc Summer Camp/May plan and participate in special events, field trips and other programs. Continually improve teaching skills through ongoing training and professional development. Perform administrative duties like maintaining student records, submitting reports, inventory of supplies etc. Work as part of a team with other teachers and staff. Any Teacher Training Course (e.g. D.Ed, D.El.Ed, D.P.Ed, B.Ed, B.El.Ed, B.P.Ed, M.Ed, M.P.Ed, MA Education) and or Hands-on in IB/CBSE Curriculum will add as an advantage.
