Job purpose :
The role holder will be communicating with our students, spending time on the phone understanding their needs, dealing with both inbound and outbound calls; as well as managing the collection of data and documentation onto our internal database. You will be updating student records and ensuring all information is up to date.
The role holder will play a key role in ensuring the enhancement of student experience from pre-arrival through to arrival. The role holder will work closely with all students before arrival and communicate well with the Student Experience Officers at each UK college.
The role will also require liaise with agents and the GRU (Global Recruitment Unit) to ensure we are able to contact all student’s pre-arrival.
The role holder will be expected to develop detailed knowledge of university regulations and College procedures to give the students correct information.
The role holder will work closely with the team leader to improve student experience, identifying issues to be addressed and administering the implementation of initiatives.
The following section outlines a more detailed, but not exhaustive, description of the duties pertinent to this post.
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Contacting students’ pre-arrival to answer common frequently asked questions
· Communicate with incoming students to gather information including visa outcomes, arriving on campus, late arrivals, online and face to face registration etc.
· Managing the pre-arrival inbox, acknowledging all requests in a timely & effective manner
· Ensure accurate and up-to-date pre-arrival information is always available to all stakeholders
· To contact agents/GRU regarding nonresponsive students, in the aim to ensure all pre-arrival pre-requisites are fulfilled, so students can join their course on time
· To connect with the Student, Experience Officers for appropriate resources to aid the student
· Flag students who are at risk of not arriving for the start of their course
· Flag students whose level of English is below average, and would therefore struggle to complete their course
· Follow up with students where information is required from them, ensuring all systems have been updated with relevant documents.
