JD: PPC Lead (Production Planning & Control Lead)

Role Objective

SAP PP/PS

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the

  Master Production Plan (MPP)

  aligned with client schedules.
• Break down WBS into

  dispatchable fabrication blocks

  , ensuring full-kit readiness before release.
• Control

  release of blocks into cutting

  via SAP, based on CCR throughput.
• Coordinate across

  Design & Detailing, Procurement, Stores, QA/QC, and Production

  using SAP workflows.
• Track block progress in SAP across routing (CNC machining welding blasting/painting dispatch).
• Monitor capacity loads in

  SAP work centers

  , especially constraints, and issue load reports.
• Lead the implementation and adoption of

  SAP PP/MM/PS

  for planning and reporting.
• Publish

  weekly and monthly dashboards

  : WIP age, CCR utilization, Block ETC, Planned vs Actual MT.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Industrial.
• 10+ years experience in PPC in fabrication/heavy engineering.
• Proven track record in

  SAP PP (routing, work centers, capacity planning)

  ; SAP PS exposure for WBS/block mapping.
• Strong in

  constraint-based planning (TOC)

  .
• Advanced MS Excel/MS Project for simulations and offline analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to align with functional heads.

KPIs

• Blocks delivered On-Time-In-Full (OTIF).
• Adherence to weekly/monthly SAP production plan.
• SAP data accuracy (order confirmations, routing steps).
• CCR utilization in SAP vs plan.
• WIP backlog reduction in SAP.
