PowerBI Analyst

Role Overview: You will be responsible for developing functional and Data specifications for Business Analytics and BI projects. You will participate in the work stream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing, and delivery of data solutions. As a part of the IT team, you will collaborate with your manager to influence business decisions by providing quantitative/qualitative data analysis to extract insights and trends related to business performance. Your role will involve working with customers to analyze data support needs, communicating findings to stakeholders, and providing recommendations for improving business performance. You will also ensure that data and analysis are presented in an appropriate format for a varied audience using data visualization, dashboards, or other methods. Additionally, you will utilize strong database skills to work with large, complex data sets to extract insights and identify new technology opportunities that impact enterprise-wide data analytics systems. You may also be required to perform adhoc analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Develop functional and Data specifications for Business Analytics and BI projects - Participate in work stream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing, and delivery of data solutions - Collaborate with the IT team and manager to influence business decisions through data analysis - Work with customers to analyze data support needs and communicate findings to stakeholders - Present data and analysis in appropriate formats for varied audience using data visualization methods - Utilize strong database skills to work with large, complex data sets and extract insights - Identify new technology opportunities impacting enterprise-wide data analytics systems - Perform adhoc analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and platforms Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence systems, Data Warehousing, Data Analytics solution implementation - Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field - Hands-on experience in developing Power BI visualization reports and utilization of DAX for data manipulation - Advanced working knowledge of data mining using ETL, data warehouse, and Excel - Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling concepts, and building new DW tables - Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in and prior implementation experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, or Java - Direct Customer handling experience is a plus,
