Power Systems Engineer II

• Work directly with customers to define requirements for advanced control systems.
• Understand project requirements through interactions with project engineering and other stakeholders and design solutions to meet these requirements.
• Carry out power system modelling, Analysis, and electrical design aspects of projects from the feasibility stage through implementation and operations.
• Design and develop custom applications to meet project requirements.
• Design the theoretical algorithms and their software implementation.
• Create test plans and procedures and perform testing for product releases including unit (module by module) and algorithm proof testing.
• Provide applications programming support for other Engineering departments.
• Provide training and support for end users.

• Bachelors or master s degree in Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related streams, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
• 3 5 years of experience (or less with an advanced degree) in Power System Analysis and Energy Management Systems, or adjacent experience in electric utilities, SCADA, or power automation domains.
• Solid understanding of control room use cases and electric utility operations.
• Experience with electrical utility control systems (SCADA, EMS, GMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS) or experience working in utility operations or engineering support is good to have.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming (C# or Python); SQL knowledge is good to have.
• Experience with network modelling and simulation tools such as PSSE, Power Factory, ETAP or similar is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to travel based on project requirements.
