Key Responsibilities:
1.
Machine Setup: Set up power press machines for specific production tasks. This includes adjusting settings, selecting dies, and configuring machine parameters according to the work order or specifications (Job setting).
2.
Operation of Power Press: Operate the press machine to punch, blank, or cut materials as per required specifications. Ensure the machine runs smoothly and produces high-quality output.
3.
Quality Control: Monitor the products produced for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Inspect finished parts for dimensions, finishes, and specified criteria.
4.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform basic maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs. Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments to ensure proper machine function.
5.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries while operating machines. Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn and that the work area is kept clean and safe.
6.
Production Reporting: Record and report production data such as machine performance, downtime, and any incidents to supervisors. Ensure records of parts produced and scrap are accurate.
7.
Process Improvement: Provide suggestions for improving machine operation, reducing waste, and enhancing overall production efficiency.
8.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other operators, maintenance teams, and production supervisors to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues during production.
