Power Electronics

As a Power Electronics Engineer, your role involves investigating electromagnetic emissions from cables or other lines into the mains or other equipment. You will be analyzing electromagnetic fields emitted by the device into the environment and ensuring compliance with limits for interference emissions as per standards such as EN55032 and CISPR 11. Your typical tests will include ESD (electrostatic discharge) for protection against electrical discharges, Burst/EFT test to check resistance to fast transient interference, Surge test to evaluate immunity to overvoltages, RF radiation test for resistance to radiofrequency interference, and Magnetic field immunity test to determine tolerance to magnetic fields.
