Summary

We are looking for a talented and motivated Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence and data visualisation, with experience in creating impactful reports and dashboards using Power BI. They will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, high-performance BI solutions that transform data into actionable insights while ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create and optimise data models to support report performance and scalability.
• Develop custom calculations using DAX and perform advanced data transformations with Power Query.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports and datasets.
• Identify performance issues and optimise Power BI queries and models.
• Integrate data from diverse sources, including cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure Cloud) and on-premises databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar BI role.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud development or related roles.
• Experience working with relational databases like SQL Server or Azure SQL.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Spark.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, transformation and visualisation principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Good to have skills:

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or equivalent certification.
• Solid understanding of the Core concepts of cloud computing and Microsoft Azure cloud.
• Knowledge of Azure data platforms such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.
• Hands-On experience with other BI tools like Tableau.
