Power Bi Developer

Responsibilities:

• Work with business stakeholders (marketing, strategy, international business units) to understand requirements and translate them into BI / dashboard requirements.
  
• Build interactive, visually compelling dashboards and reports in Power BI (Power BI Desktop + Service) that address key business questions (e.g., consumer behaviour, marketing ROI, global expansion metrics)
  
• Develop robust data models in Power BI: define relationships, star/snowflake schemas, build calculated measures and columns using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
  
• Use Power Query/M to extract, transform and load data from multiple sources (databases, Excel, cloud, APIs) into the model
  
• Optimize report performance: ensure fast refresh, efficient visuals, appropriate use of data-granularity and query folding
  
• Implement data governance and security: role-level or row-level security, access controls, data quality checks
  
• Collaborate with data engineers/ETL teams to ensure data pipelines feed the BI layer correctly and reliably
  
• Test and validate data and visual output: ensure accuracy, consistency, reliability of dashboards
  
• Deliver training/support to business users on the dashboards, ensure adoption and help interpret insights
  
• Stay up to date on new features of Power BI, best practices in modelling/visualisation, and recommend continuous improvements
  

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential / Must-Have:

• Bachelors degree (e.g., in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Business / Data Science)

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI: building reports/dashboards, publishing to Power BI Service
  
• Solid skills in SQL (querying relational databases)
  
• Good knowledge of data modelling concepts (star schema, snowflake, dimension/fact tables)
  
• Strong DAX experience for calculated measures, time-intelligence functions
  
• Experience in data transformation/ETL (Power Query/M, connecting to varied data sources)
  
• Good analytical & problem-solving capabilities: able to translate business questions into data/visualisation solutions
  
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including non-technical stakeholders
  
• Good attention to detail & strong organisation for multiple dashboards & deliverables
