Position Summary

Khandelwal Industrial Enterprise is looking for a technically skilled and experienced Powder Coating Supervisor to oversee the complete powder coating process on the shop floor. This is a supervisory role, not an operator position. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all activities related to surface preparation, powder application, curing, quality control, and coordination with the production team to meet daily targets and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:           

• Supervise the entire powder coating process, including pre-treatment, application, and curing.           
• Ensure proper chemical preparation and maintenance for pre-treatment processes such as degreasing, phosphating, and drying.           
• Oversee powder application using manual or semi-automatic spray guns, ensuring proper coverage and finish.           
• Monitor curing oven parameters and ensure proper temperature and time settings are maintained.           
• Inspect coated parts for defects such as uneven finish, pinholes, or orange peel, and take corrective actions.           
• Conduct regular quality checks for coating thickness, adhesion, and surface finish.           
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the powder coating booth, equipment, and surrounding work area.           
• Keep detailed records of production output, process parameters, quality checks, and material usage.           
• Lead and guide a team of coating helpers and ensure adherence to daily production schedules.           
• Enforce all safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required Qualifications & Skills:           

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Surface Coating, or a related technical field (preferred).           
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in powder coating within the hardware, fabrication, or automotive sector.           
• In-depth understanding of pre-treatment chemicals, coating materials, and application techniques.           
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting coating defects and process variations.           
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, coating specifications, and quality standards.           
• Strong team management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
