As a Field Supervisor in the Banana Export Industry, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing on-ground agricultural activities related to banana cultivation. Your role will involve supervising banana cultivation activities, ensuring adherence to export quality standards, conducting field visits to monitor crop health, guiding farmers on Good Agricultural Practices, coordinating with procurement and logistics teams, and ensuring documentation and compliance with export quality norms. You will be required to provide training and support to farmers on modern and sustainable agricultural techniques, maintain field reports and data on crop progress, issues, and resolution, and work closely with agronomists, quality inspectors, and warehouse teams to streamline operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in field-level agricultural operations, crop management, and quality assurance in banana cultivation. To qualify for this role, you should preferably hold a B.Sc. in Agriculture or an Agriculture Diploma, or any Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Agriculture or related fields. Additionally, you should have at least 15 years of experience in agriculture fieldwork, preferably in banana cultivation or horticulture. Freshers with relevant education and high field adaptability may also be considered. Key skills and competencies required for this position include strong field supervision and coordination skills, practical knowledge of crop management and pest/disease control, good communication skills in Marathi and/or Hindi (basic English preferred), and the ability to work in rural field conditions and manage relationships with local farmers. Basic documentation and reporting skills are also essential for this role. The salary for this position will be based on experience and skillset, aligned with market standards in the agriculture export sector. Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Solapur, Jalgaon, or Shahada districts will be preferred. This is a full-time job with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund.
