Description

• We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Administrator to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in managing PostgreSQL databases and will be responsible for ensuring their performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
• Perform regular database backups and restore operations as needed.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Optimize SQL queries and database structures for performance improvements.
• Conduct capacity planning and database scaling activities.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in PostgreSQL administration or similar database management roles.
• Strong understanding of database design, architecture, and normalization concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/pg SQL programming languages.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery processes in PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.
• Ability to monitor and troubleshoot database issues effectively.
• Should understand Kannada language.
