Process Optimization & Hook Design: Work with design and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and powder coating parts hanging . Quality Control: Ensure the quality of the powder coating process by monitoring equipment, maintaining standards, and addressing any issues that arise. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the powder coating process, such as coating defects or equipment malfunctions. Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the powder coating process. Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience. Experience: Experience in sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, or related processes is preferred. Technical Skills: Knowledge of powder coating technology. Soft Skills: Problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Specific Tasks: Pre-treatment: Prepare sheet metal parts for powder coating by cleaning, degreasing, and/or blasting to remove any contaminants or residues. Powder Coating: Apply the powder coating using electrostatic spraying, ensuring even coverage and minimal waste. Curing: Control the curing oven temperature and time to ensure the powder melts and fuses to the metal, creating a durable finish. Post-treatment: Handle and inspect coated parts, addressing any defects or issues. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, curing ovens, and conveyor systems.
