Applications are invited for filling-up of one post of Research Associate-III @ Rs 67,000/- per month (fixed) + HRA @ 18% under the scheme

“

G-protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) regulating moulting as novel targets for development of next generation insecticide against pink bollworm,Pectniophora gossypiella, CSS-56 (PC-6452)”

in the prescribed proforma available on the PAU website on payment of Rs 200/- in the shape of bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana alongwith attested copies of certificates for an initial period of six months from the date the incumbent joins or till the termination of the scheme, whichever is earlier.

Qualifications

• B.Sc./B.Sc. (Agric.) with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks
• M.Sc. in Entomology / Plant Pathology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Zoology with at least 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks
• Ph.D. in the relevant field with minimum OCPA 6.50/10.00 basis or 65% marks
  

Note-I:

The candidate, who does possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level shell be eligible.

Note-II: Desirable qualifications:

• Candidate with rich working experience in handling and rearing of insects, RNAi in insects, gene expression studies using qPCR, and maintaining cell lines, cell based calcium assay will be given preference.

No separate intimation for the interview will be sent and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.The amount of first full month of fellowship payable to the Research Associate-II will be kept as Security with the Head, Department of Entomology and it will be paid to him/her as and when he/she leaves the fellowship after giving the requisite one month’s notice or deposits the amount of one month’s fellowship. The Research Associate-III resigning the fellowship shall have to give one month notice or have to deposit one month salary in lieu of one month notice.
