Policy Communications Specialist

Role Overview: You will work as a Policy Communications Specialist in Financial Inclusion to support and strengthen the Financial Inclusion knowledge vertical. Your role will involve actively engaging with policy partners, knowledge institutions, and implementation agencies to advocate datasets, research insights, and policy initiatives of India Data Portal in the financial inclusion ecosystem. Additionally, you will coordinate brand-building efforts of India Data Portal through various communication channels to deliver enduring value to clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Reach out to new partners, develop and grow the partners portfolio, anchor engagement activities, and maintain enduring relationships internally and externally. (30% time spent) - Initiate and anchor outreach/engagement/media campaigns, develop execution frameworks, and collaborate for impactful delivery of ongoing/proposed activities/plans. (25% time spent) - Coordinate with and support policy research, data visualization, publicity, PR, and media engagements for the FI knowledge vertical of India Data Portal and BIPP. (25% time spent) - Travel to partners" locations for policy communication, promotion, consultative engagements, onboarding partners/clients, capacity building, handholding, and community outreach. (20% time spent) Qualification Required: - Degree/Masters in Communications or Marketing Management - Hands-on expertise and work experience in a client-facing role, preferably managing technology-enabled impact-oriented programs - Mid-management level work experience in policy research and communications in reputable development organizations - Prior experience in digital marketing with knowledge of the latest media trends - Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasive skills with the ability to network and outreach at all levels - Minimum 5 years of work experience Additional Details: The suitable candidate should have expertise in impact-led, socio-economic policy research, advocacy, and strategic outreach activities. You will be responsible for establishing India Data Portal as the preferred platform for datasets, analytics, and infographic visualization support in the financial inclusion ecosystem. Your role will involve creating effective strategies to promote the long-term growth and integration of India Data Portal in the broader financial inclusion landscape.,
