Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining Landmark Digital, a part of the Landmark Group, one of the largest retail and hospitality organizations in the Middle East, North Africa, and India. As a Point of Sale (POS) Application Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective operation, support, and continuous improvement of retail Point of Sale applications. By providing expert-level troubleshooting and managing seamless integration with backend systems, you will support smooth retail transactions and enhance the overall customer experience. Key Responsibilities: - Provide L3 support and advanced troubleshooting for Oracle Retail POS applications (ORPOS, XStore, Jumpmind POS). - Manage incident handling, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex POS issues. - Support integration between Oracle POS and backend systems including Oracle Backoffice, Central Office, RESA (RTLOG), RPM, and RMS. - Implement patches, upgrades, and configuration changes following change management processes. - Collaborate with L1/L2 support teams, vendors, and business stakeholders for issue resolution and deployment activities. - Monitor POS system health, performance, and availability to ensure optimal operation. - Participate in on-call rotation and handle escalations as needed. - Maintain and update technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles related to POS applications. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Masters degree is a plus. - 4-6 years of hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Retail Point of Sale systems, specifically Oracle Retail POS (ORPOS), XStore, and Jumpmind POS. - Strong understanding of integration with Oracle Backoffice, Central Office, RESA (RTLOG), RPM, and RMS systems. - Proficient in SQL and database querying for troubleshooting POS application issues. - Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes. - Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams. - Experience in store rollout and POS deployment activities across multiple retail locations is highly desirable. - Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working with tools like Jira or Azure DevOps is a plus. - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills specific to retail POS applications. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced retail IT environment. - Awareness of PCI DSS compliance requirements related to POS systems is preferred.,
