Project description We are engaged with a leading Australian Bank to support their Calypso transformation program. We are looking for a Lead Calypso Developer with at least 8 years of hands-on experience in Calypso development and customization. This role involves enhancing, integrating, and supporting trading and risk modules within the Calypso platform. It requires a strong technical background, clear communication skills, and the ability to work closely with global stakeholders. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end development of Calypso modules, including workflows, scheduled tasks, and messaging components Implement system customizations and extensions aligned to evolving business requirements Collaborate with traders, business analysts, and risk teams to convert functional requirements into robust technical solutions Troubleshoot and optimize performance issues across Calypso APIs and engine components Own and guide code reviews, unit testing, deployment, and production support activities Act as the go-to person for Level 3 support and ensure critical issues are resolved promptly Maintain strong documentation and adhere to coding and integration best practices Ensure smooth integration of Calypso with upstream/downstream systems and external interfaces Skills Must have 8+ years of core Calypso development experience with deep expertise in customizations and implementations Strong knowledge of Calypso architecture, APIs, messaging framework, and scheduled task setup Hands-on experience with Calypso workflows, engine development, and report customization Ability to analyze complex issues, debug production problems, and provide effective solutions Strong SQL skills with understanding of Calypso database schema Clear and proactive communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Solid understanding of Fixed Income products and trading lifecycle Nice to have Basic experience with UNIX/Linux commands and scripting Exposure to post-trade processes, including SWIFT, settlement, CREs, and accounting Familiarity with FX products and related workflows Experience with CI/CD tools like Maven, Jenkins, and Gradle
