Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) specialist at our Puducherry location. The PMR specialist will work closely with a team of neurologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and rehabilitation specialists to develop and implement personalized treatment plans. Daily tasks include assessing patient conditions, prescribing and overseeing therapeutic interventions, monitoring progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary. The specialist will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, and keep meticulous patient records.

Qualifications

• Expertise in neurological rehabilitation including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases
• Proficiency in advanced therapeutic modalities such as robotic-assisted therapy, neurostimulation, virtual reality rehabilitation, and biofeedback systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans
• Medical degree (M.D.) with specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
• Valid state medical license and board certification in PMR
• Compassionate approach to patient care with a commitment to holistic rehabilitation
• Experience in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
