Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing & Firefighting Engineer to join our MEP team for commercial and residential projects across Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in site execution, coordination, installation supervision, and quality control of plumbing and firefighting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Plumbing Systems

Execution, supervision, and installation of plumbing works including water supply, drainage, STP/ETP, pumps, piping, sanitary fixtures, and rainwater systems.

Review and interpret plumbing drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

Coordinate with consultants, architects, and contractors for timely project execution.

Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to design, safety, and quality standards.

Monitor material requirements, verify deliveries, and raise material requisitions.

Ensure proper testing & commissioning of plumbing installations (pressure tests, flow tests, etc.).

Firefighting Systems

Execute and supervise installation of firefighting systems including hydrants, sprinklers, pumps, hose reels, and related equipment.

Understand and implement NBC, local authority norms, and fire safety standards.

Coordinate with fire department officials for inspections and approvals.

Conduct system testing such as hydro testing, pump trials, and commissioning activities.

Project Coordination & Documentation

Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow.

Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports, checklists, and inspection documents.

Assist with project planning, sequencing, and resource allocation.

Handle QA/QC documentation and ensure compliance with project standards.

Support in client meetings, technical discussions, and resolving site issues.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong technical knowledge of plumbing & firefighting systems (MEP).

Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and understand MEP layouts.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Problem-solving ability with a proactive site-execution approach.

Knowledge of local codes, safety regulations, and statutory approvals.

Candidate Profile

Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial & residential MEP projects.

Experience working with contractors, PMC teams, and consultants.
