Plumbing Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities -

• Design and review plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties
  
• Prepare plumbing layouts, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
  
• Supervise plumbing installation works at construction and renovation sites
  
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP teams, contractors, and property managers
  
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations
  
• Inspect plumbing systems to identify defects, leaks, pressure issues, or inefficiencies
  
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of plumbing systems
  
• Manage maintenance schedules and provide technical support for existing properties
  
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material approvals
  
• Optimize water efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effective solutions
  
• Assist in budgeting, tender evaluations, and contractor selection
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Plumbing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  
• Proven experience in plumbing design and supervision within real estate or construction projects
  
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices
  
• Experience with residential and/or commercial building systems
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  
• Good communication and coordination abilities
