Job Title: PLC Engineer SCADA & Automation

Job Location: Gurgaon / Project Site(Gujarat)

Role Overview

The System Engineer will be based at the Head Office, Gurgaon, and will be responsible for debugging, optimizing, and value-engineering PLC/SCADA systems received from multiple client sites. The role focuses on finding and resolving SCADA bugs, improving control logic, enhancing system performance, and standardizing best-practice automation solutions for hydraulic and rubber dam systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve SCADA and PLC logic issues, communication failures, alarm malfunctions, and performance bottlenecks.
• Review and optimize control logic, interlocks, redundancy, and fail-safe sequences.
• Perform value engineering to improve system reliability, safety, usability, and lifecycle cost.
• Enhance HMI/SCADA graphics, alarm philosophy, trends, and event logging.
• Analyze operational data from multiple sites and recommend system improvements.
• Provide on-site technical support to project teams and vendors.
• Review and improve FDS, control narratives, cause–effect matrices, and logic documentation.
• Support commissioning troubleshooting and post-handover system stabilization.

Technical Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with PLC platforms: Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Schneider.
• Expertise in SCADA debugging, tag management, alarm management, and historical data analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial communication protocols: Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profibus/Profinet.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot PLC programs, I/O lists, and network architectures.
• Experience with pressure, level, and status instrumentation.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, preferably rubber dams or water infrastructure.
• Knowledge of fail-safe design, redundancy, and system reliability principles.

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in PLC/SCADA systems, preferably involving hydraulic structures, dams, water resources, or critical industrial automation systems.
• Prior experience in design review, third-party inspection, or owner’s engineer roles is highly desirable.
